Obesity (BMI 30-40) and morbid obesity (BMI >40) are serious medical conditions that can have a significant impact on the quality and length of your life. Obesity affects every aspect of your life and can increase your risk of developing diabetes, sleep apnea, musculoskeletal issues, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and many other issues. Bariatric surgery helps to resolve or improve many of these medical commorbidities.

Western Surgical Bariatric Center offers a full complement of bariatric procedures and is one of the few centers in Colorado to offer the Orbera intra-gastric balloon. The Orbera is approved for patients with a BMI of 30-40 and is a non-surgical weight-loss option. The procedure is done endoscopically without incisions. We also offer the laparoscopic gastric bypass, the laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy, and the LapBand procedure.

Dr. John Weaver is a fellowship-trained bariatric surgeon who is dedicated to improving the health of his patients, along with the quality of their lives.
